Shipment Receiving Instructions

Damaged or missing parts?

Start a Claim

1. Unload product and collect paperwork

When your shipment arrives, you will be responsible for removing the pallets from the truck using a forklift or pallet jack, unless additional shipping services were included in your order.

You will receive three documents with your shipment:
• Delivery receipt (Provided by the Driver)
• BOL
• Pulling Summary

The BOL and Pulling Summary are in a small plastic envelope taped to the top area of the pallet. Look for an orange rectangle that reads "PACKING SLIP ENCLOSED".
The Pulling Summary is your packing list and will detail each order and each item that is included in your shipment.

Important: Do not refuse your shipment!
Take your time and follow the instructions on this page.

2. Visually inspect all pallets and cartons

Before the driver leaves, walk completely around each pallet and visually inspect all items.
The shipment should arrive stacked evenly, wrapped in plastic and banded.

If there is any visible damage, you must mark “DAMAGED” on the delivery driver’s receipt.

Damage may include boxes that are crushed, ripped, have holes, scuffmarks, shoe prints, or product falling off the pallet.
During delivery it is important to receive the shipment and not feel rushed.

Before the delivery driver leaves:
1. Count the number of pallets and items to ensure all product was delivered. Smaller items may have been comgined and in a larger box.
2. Note any discrepancies on the delivery receipt.
3. If all items are in good condition and your order is complete, sign the delivery receipt free and clear.

If there is visible damage to the shipment:
You must still take delivery and proceed with filing a claim as outlined below.  If the delivery receipt is not signed and damage or discrepancies are not noted, your claim will be denied.

All boxes and packages must be inspected internally for damage prior to installation.
